''THE SALT TRADERS’’

: I have done a sound piece for Armenian/Egyptian Artist Anna Boghiguian’s ''The Salt Traders'' Installation at 14th Istanbul Biennial. It is shown at Galata Greek Primary School. I used field recordings from Büyükada, Istanbul. Material based on sound of waves, underwater currents, pebbles and birds. Wings flaps splashes of great cormorants and various seagull squaks are recorded. Those birds inhabitants of Büyükada usually rests with huge flocks at the back of the island where they can find a peace. ''She observes and distils the human condition during her travels. A boat carrying salt in ancient times reappears in a future post-digital world; it rediscovers its past before it was corroded by salt.’' more info: Anna Boghiguian
